A Kansas City Wedding | Towne Square Paola Kansas | Melody and Scott

Wedding

June 13, 2019

If I had to sum up Melody and Scott’s wedding day in three words it would be these:

Genuine, Perfect, and Joyful.

I think those words not only fit their big day, but the two of them together. It’s so rare to find souls that are so kind, and even rarer for them to find each other.

For example, moments before Scott and Melody saw each other for the very first time on their wedding day, there was a tiny mishap. Melody’s veil was gone. Not just out of the room, but everyone genuinely believed it had been left behind at someone’s house! Deep down my heart pitter pattered just a TINY bit nervously. But when I looked towards Melody, she was smiling. “Oh it’s fine! I don’t need a veil. I’m getting married today with or without one! It’s not a big deal”. Um excuse me?! A bride on her wedding day, missing her veil, and ready to keep moving through the day anyway. The veil was found just a few moments later, but to Melody it didn’t matter. Because Melody and Scott were just excited to be getting MARRIED. Whether the day went “perfectly” or not.

That same care free joy continued all day long. From Melody’s bridesmaids “woohooing” all day, giggles as the ring bearers came down the aisle, and the tiny sweet moments like the two of them reading letters they wrote together. It was all them.

Thank you Scott and Melody for letting me be a part of your day. You guys are going to CRUSH life together. – XoXo Grace*
