When Joe’s best man got up to the mic to speak, he told a story about having to wait in his car with a friend for TWENTY minutes. All because Joe just had to go tell kaili goodbye one more time. He said that when Joe got back to the car he was SO giddy, actually blushing, and they all thought it was both sweet and hilarious to see him like that. They knew there was something special about Kaili for Joe to be so head over heels.

I have to say, that same giddy joy Joe had in the car that night, was present the entire wedding day from both he and Kaili. Before their ceremony the two of them chose not to see each other, and instead read the sweetest vows on the other side of a wall to one another. Holding hands, and wiping tears. When you don’t do a first look on a wedding day, everyone stays pretty separated until the ceremony takes place and the bride and groom finally see each other. Which is why when Kaili and Joe said “I do” we all corralled off to the side of the venue to celebrate! The first thing I heard Joe say to everyone was “I’m so glad I can FINALLY see all of you!!”. Which made perfect sense, because everyone was so happy to be there and celebrate with one another. It seemed like everyone was best friends, but more importantly, PUMPED to see these two married. And the joy was honestly infectious.

I know I said Joe’s best man’s speech had a sweet story, but Kaili’s little sister’s speech also brought tears to my eyes. She talked about how she was always referred to as “Kaili’s little sister”, and as she got older, she realized that being referred to as her little sister, really wasn’t so bad. In fact, it wasn’t bad at all. Because Kaili was, and is, a wonderful human being, and someone to look up to. I think everyone at their wedding agreed that Joe and Kaili make everyone want to be the best versions of themselves, and that’s why both speeches included that sentiment by the end. These two, are kind, encouraging, and make others feel SO loved. They are the epitome of two people coming together to make themselves, and the world around them better in the best way.

By saying “I do” and becoming Mr. and Mrs. Kuligoski, these two celebrated their engagement anniversary, after years of long distance dating, the best way possible. (with their sweet puppy too!) Thank you Kaili and Joe for letting me be a part of your day. I went home with a heart so so full after spending the day with you and your friends and family. <3 – XoXo Grace*
