As the bridal party walked down the aisle, he held it together pretty well. But when D’s sister came down the aisle she mouthed the words “I love you”, with the biggest smile. I think that’s when everything became so real. The barn doors closed, and when they opened again, Katie and her father were on the other side. In that moment I don’t know that there were ANY dry eyes left at the ceremony. And that’s just ONE of the most perfect moment’s from Katie and D’s day.
After saying “I do” I snuck Katie and D away for sunset portraits. They may be some of my favorites ever! I could go on and on about these two, but instead, here are just a few more of my favorite parts of their day.
- Before the ceremony Katie and her bridesmaids, along her her mother and D’s, all prayed together. They all said so many sweet things about Katie and D, their relationship with each other, and how amazing they are to their own family and friends. It was something so special to witness. And I think everything they said was true.
- A huge tree fell on Katie and D’s home. Even though they could have let this be the worst thing ever, they didn’t! Instead, they took that tree, cut a slab from it, and brought it to their wedding! As guest walked in they signed the slab, and it’s being turned into a coffee table.
Katie and D, thank you for letting me be a part of your day. Your marriage is already off to an amazing start, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you <3 – XoXo Grace*bhbg
